Called “pita od kupina” according to the recipe, it’s simple and delicious! My results were slightly off as I didn’t have time to make the proper pastry and tried to use sweet shortcrust instead, but it was still super tasty! This recipe was again part of the Mediterranean food challenge we’re involved in, thoroughly enjoyed it and will make again! Here is a link to the original recipe.
Essentially you are making a meringue mixture, adding lemon zest, vanilla essence and blackberries to it, putting that into a pie and baking it… what’s not to love? The tartness of the berries goes so well with the sweetness of the meringue. Next time I will make sure I can try the recipe in full and make their “pastry”.
